Breton LaRose is a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy High School in Ogdensburg, New York, where he was a 3-year varsity pitcher. In 2013, he earned first team all NAC and first team all state (NY) honors. Leading his team to the New York State Class B Final Four in 2013, Breton struck out 23 batters in the Regional Seminfinal.
After high school, Breton attended Sacred Heart University from 2013-2016 before transferring to Lock Haven University from 2016-2018. At Lock Haven, Breton made 30 appearances in 2 years, pitching 33.2 innings and earning First Team All PSAC as a relief pitcher. He gave up 29 hits and 21 walks while registering 32 strikeouts, pitching to the tune of a 3.51 ERA, and setting the school record for saves with 16.
From 2014-2016, Breton played in the NYCBL, where he was an All-Star for the Genesee Rapids in 2016. From 2016-2018, Breton pitched for the Kokomo Jackrabbits of the Prospect League. Now, Breton joins the ITN Academy as the newest pitching instructor while also serving as an Assistant Pitching Coach for Penn State Harrisburg.
